2009 NRL Dinner

nationalrugbyleagueIn March of 2009, the Sports Advocacy Group hosted the NRL. The NRL were the first peak body to present at to the Group. The dinner followed the theme "Rugby League - the next 100 years."

Guests included: - David Gallop (then CEO, NRL), Ben Hornby, Luke Lewis, Matt Rogers, Cameron Smith, Ron Coote AM, David Peachey and Mal Meninga.

Many topics were discussed, most interestingly Cameron Smith talked about the values that he thought Rugby League instilled in its players, rather timely considering in the months after the dinner, his club the Melbourne Storm was rocked by the salary cap scandal.
